What I’ve found on the Web today:

The Mommy State, courtesy of Fred on Everything. A cranky curmudgeon from my old stomping grounds of Austin, Texas…Fred’s pretty darn opinionated, but real damn funny about it. Here’s a link to all his rants.)

A fine quotation is a diamond on the finger of a witty person, but a pebble in the hands of a fool. –Colette
Check out Frosties, a new collection of quotations from Ariga, expertly and eccentrically selected by one I.Frost, who defines himself as “friend, philosopher and jurist” . Unlike many online dictionaries, it includes generous helpings from its chosen authors; proper references; unexpected quotations (rather than the same old chestnuts) and, above all, personality. Many thanks to my buddy Miguel Cardoso for this link.

Has anyone recently told you to go fly a kite? Well, now you can.

This cracks me up every time I run across mention of it…State of Kentucky legislative bill HR256: Encourage the purchase of a submarine to patrol the waters of the Commonwealth and search and destroy all casino riverboats.

Are you annoyed at the concept of your casino boats being shot out of the water by subs? Well, you could always send the KY Congress a Swarm of Locusts Dome.

And for our final…some might say fatalistic, link of the day, I give you: Choose Your Own Adventure meets Samuel Beckett. The result: Waiting for Godot: The Interactive Adventure.
