Ok, so the next time I get the bright idea to paint a mural…someone hit me with something heavy and pointed. Seriously. I mean, some of you have been my friends for more than two decades. What the hell? Why weren’t you over here taking the brushes away? Hmmm? Why? And don’t give me the same excuse my husband used: “One, the word No has no relevance in your reality when it pertains something you’ve decided to do, and Two, do I look stupid?”.
All that said, the mural is coming along. The bottom vegetation is sparse, but I think finished. I added a rope to the anchor, added two sea turtles, and half a dozen fish. Once those dry, I can add more fish, maybe revisit the vegetation, and decide if I’m going to be ambitious enough to put anything in the sky part.
Somehow this quick “Oh…I can do this in an afternoon”, project has become a proverbial contractor’s delight…gods only know when it’ll be done, but it’ll be worth it. That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it.
