Soap Today

Brrrrr….it’s brisk today, making me want to do more fall and winter stuff.

Today’s Batches:

Joy To The World (or Galilee…I can’t decide on a name): Frankincense, Rose of Sharon, Spikenard, Cedar, Myrrh, Hyssop, Cinnamon, Cassia, Calamus, Aloes, Sandalwood and Styrax (Storax, Stacte) . This is an insanely expensive batch to make, but oh my god…it’s the most amazing smell. Normally I only use this blend for aromatherapy modalities, but since I’ve got more of all of these coming (just got notices that they’ve hit customs), I really want to try it in a soap.(Hope it works…it would be a very expensive mistake if it didn’t…but life is nothing if it is not full of risks.)

Chocolate Raspberry Ice. (If there’s enough time to do both). I’m going to mix my new Chocolate with some Raspberry and a teeny hint of peppermint. Yum! I wish I could do a cool purpley swirl, but the chocolate cures to a, well, chocolate color. Hmmm. I have an idea…I’ll have to see if it works.

Got about 100 bars of soap wrapped and labeled yesterday. Just an entire drying rack of product to go. Heh. I am really loving the new packaging look, and everyone who’s gotten soap since I switched over has been super enthusiastic. Changing the packaging may have been one of my smarter business decisions.

And now, to the bat cave…er…soap studio….
