It worked, it worked, oh yeah, yeah, yeah. (Does happy Dori dance)
I have 6 test bars in the mold, and saponifying even as I type. I was worried about the color, but after emulsification, it turned out the color I wanted, and not the florescent I was afraid it would be. I’ll get pictures of it tomorrow when I unmold it. It’s pretty darn groovy looking.
So, yay! Pomegranate soap is now officially on the batch “to-do” list for 18 bar pours. I think everyone will love it as much as I do. I anticipate making a lot of this one. Yay!
In other news, I got a flu shot yesterday, and today I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck. Bleh! Headache, muscle aches, sore throat, fever, sniffles. Damn it, I thought the shot was to prevent plague, not *give* plague.
So, other than wrapping and filling orders, I’m not doing any more soap today. I’m going to grab a glossy magazine, a giant cuppa tea and head back to bed until it’s time to get up, take a shower and go pick up the Boy from school. I thought about taking the laptop to bed with me, but I’m afraid I’ll fall asleep, the battery will get hot, set the duvet on fire, and I’ll die a horrible death before seeing my pomegranate soap. Nobody wants that. (Ok, so…maybe I’m a little overly dramatic when sick…)
