Sisterhood of the Traveling Tiara

Whee! I’m so excited. I leave this morning for a weekend with 4 of my dearest friends, at one of the nation’s premiere spas and resorts. A weekend of pampering, good friends, good food, and of course, tiaras.

The only sad thing is that I broke my tiara last night when I was cleaning it. It’s an antique from the 1920’s, and it’s pretty fragile. I think I’ve fixed it well enough until I can get it to a jeweler next week. (I hope!) I may stop and pick up a soldering iron on my way. I have one for computer parts, but I couldn’t find it. The perils of packratting, really. :)

Boy is off for a day at work with Man. He was so excited he couldn’t even stand still. He loves, loves, loves going to work with his dad.

And I’m off to shower and get ready for my hair appointment. For one cannot wear a tiara if one has bad hair. It’s the Law of Dallas. I hope everyone has a groovy weekend! Stay warm and safe, and remember, if things look gloomy, a small bejeweled crown can make things better. It’s true. It’s hard to be gloomy in a tiara. :)
