What’s in the soap pot today?

Lemongrass and Clary Sage

Today I’m making a Lemongrass and Sage batch. It’s a coconut, palm, olive oil base, enriched with a little mango butter after the saponification starts so it works as a “superfat” and makes the soap a lot more moisturizing. I’m using the organic lemongrass and clary sage essential oils. The scent of these two together is so much better than any synthetic blend could be.

Yum.

I really needed to get this batch made and on the drying racks. I’m almost completely out of stock, and traditional batches take 3 weeks to cure, especially this time of year, when humidity levels can vary so much.
