So, I had to go have my braces tightened today. And of course, some brackets came off, which makes the process so much more fun, and takes a lot longer. So Boy was starting to get antsy. I asked him if he would tell me some stories while they were working on my teeth.
And he started telling the story of the 3 little pigs (Manny, Moe and Jack) and the big bad wolf. And he tells stories so very well, complete with sound effects and voices and all that kinda good stuff. Pretty soon, he had a good sized audience. (I know, my kid, with an audience? Who’d a thunk it?)
So he wraps up the story of how the wolf climbed down Jack’s chimmney, but he dipped his tail in the boiling soup and scurried off to quench the owie in the nearby river and then says:
“And the moral of the story is: If you’re going to build a house in the same neighborhood as wolves, you should always have a chimney and vegetable soup…just in case.”
Hee! Kid cracks me up every day.
